Adventures

The following are a handful of the adventures I’ve experienced while pursuing my athletic challenges.  Ask me about them!

  • Being the first to run a wilderness trail, taking 44 hours to do it and ending up a movie star
  • Spending a romantic evening on top of a mountain, shivering under a tinfoil blanket with my climbing buddy and getting a helicopter ride home
  • A near-death experience at the World 100K run Championships in Japan
  • Running with the monks in Rangoon, Burma
  • Hydration in the Swiss Alpine Marathon
  • Another near-death experience (mine) at the Montreal Marathon
  • Battered by avocados at the Ultraman Triathlon in Hawaii
  • A clandestine night time run through a major urban watershed
  • winning the 2010 Bagger Challenge for summiting 48 British Columbia alpine peaks
